Our world has changed. The sad occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought our lives close to a standstill. But despite that, we need to find ways as we move on with our lives.
As an online entrepreneur, it is likely that you are selling our own products, products that are stored in your house or warehouse. If this is the case, then you need an app for your Shopify store where you can have other companies pick up your product and then deliver them to your customer.
You may also want an app where customers can see where they can pick-up their order—a great option to help customers save on the cost of shipping.
Today, we will review seven of them. By the end of this tutorial, you should be able to pick one that you can use for your Shopify store.
1. Store Pickup + Delivery by Zapiet
This is an app that offers several services that you can use for store pick up and for delivery. It is a local delivery solution for your Shopify store.
Here are the features of the app:
- Store pick-ups and local delivery – the app allows the customer to enter delivery information, or the customer can set a date when he would pick up the item from your physical location.
- Limits and control – you can set limits how many items can be scheduled for delivery or pick up in a day. The app has a date and time picker that customers can use for their convenience.
- Conditions – you can set conditions before an item can be delivered for delivery, such as the weight of the items bought or the total cost.
The app has three plans called Essential, Advanced, and Pro.
- Essential – costs $29 per month. At this plan, you can program the app to deliver up to three locations. You also get the store pick-up option, a shipping calendar, integration to the Shopify POS, and a feature where you can show product availability plus dynamic delivery rates.
- Advanced – this costs $35 per month, and you get all the benefits of the first plan. Here, you can deliver to 100 locations instead of just three.
- Pro – the price for this plan is $49 per month. You will get all the benefits from the first two plans, but you can program the app for delivery to 2,000 locations. You can also add preparation time per product, a limit on the number of deliveries per day, and you will get early access to new features.
The app is free for 14 days. After that, you have to pay at least $29 per month.

Here are the features of the app:
- Date and time request – the customer who buys from your website can choose a date to get the items delivered to him.

- Dynamic shipping – you can change the price of the shipping depending on the date. For example, holiday shipping can be more expensive because you have to pay employees more money.
- Google Calendar – the app can be synced with Google calendar. This way, both you and your consumers can view the same things if a change in the schedule happened.
- Cut-off time – you can set a cut-off period for the orders. For example, any orders that came in at 3 PM can only be delivered two days from now.
This app is available for a free trial for 15 days. After that, you have to pay $9.99 per month to continue using the service.
5. No‑Contact Delivery by Mageworx
The next on our list is a FREE app where you can add a “No Contact” button on your product pages. What it really does is that it only allows your customer to set their preferences about the delivery process.
How does it work? Once installed, your product pages will have a radio button. If the customer checks out, he has to select the No Contact delivery option, and then provide his instructions. For example, he can type “just leave the item at my doorstep”.
Here are the features of the app:
- Auto-install – the app gets installed with only one click; no need to code or ad any script to the Shopify theme.
- Radio buttons – the “no contact” buttons will be shown in the cart pages and the product pages.
- Descriptions – under the radio button, you can add your description to explain what this button or service means.
- Commenting – the customer can leave a comment about how he wants to do the contactless delivery method.
- Languages – the app can translate the message to any language.
This app is not as complicated as the others, but it shows your customers that you care about their health. This app works great only if you are the one delivering the item to your customers.
7. Postmates
This is an app where you can offer what is called on-demand delivery. No more shipping. Instead, people from Postmates will pick-up the item from your store and then deliver it to your consumers. This best used only for local sellers.
Here are the features of the app:
- No more shipping and extra work – once you install the app, you do not have to deliver your product. The Postmates people will pick up your product and then deliver it to the customer.
- 2-hour delivery – the customer only has to choose this delivery method, and then they can wait for their items in as short as two hours.
- Store preferences – the app allows you to turn it on and off, or you can schedule specific hours when delivery is open for service.
- Track the delivery – once the item is picked up, you can track where the delivery personnel is. You can share the tracking link for the delivery to your customer, too.
- Cancellation – you or your customer can cancel the transaction from the app.
If you think about it, it is like UBER. But instead of the UBER drivers taking one passenger from one place to another, they pick up the goods and deliver them.
The app is free to install. However, you will be charged a base fee of $4.20 per delivery plus $1.20 per mile that the Postmates personnel travels to delivery our item.
8. Store Pickup Click and Collect by CreativeR
The Store Pickup Click and Collect app is great if the items you sell are too heavy for shipping. The customer can pick up the item from your store instead of you delivering the item. The app allows your customer to set a calendar date for the pick-up.
Then the way it works is that during checkout, the customer checks a box that they will be picking up the product. From there, they need to fill out the information details, and then they have to set the pick-up date.
Here are the features:
- Mandatory pick-up – you can choose specific collections pages from your Shopify store where all the products have to be picked up.
- Multiple stores – you can use the app on multiple Shopify stores that you operate.
- Optional fields – you can add name and phone number fields that customers can choose or not to fill out.
- No extra payment – you do not need to pay for other apps to calculate extra shipping costs. This app works on all Shopify themes and works independently from other Shopify shipping apps.
- Charge for pick-up fees – you can charge customers fees for pick-up.
- Fast – does not affect the speed of your Shopify store; it will also not affect your shop’s SEO.
- Customizable – the app can be customized to match your store’s theme and design or color.
- Easy-install – no need to write code or scripts to install the app; all it takes is a few button clicks to install it in your Shopify store.
- Order notes – the customer can add notes about the pickup details in the order notes. You will see these notes from your Shopify dashboard.
The app is free to install, and you will also get 14 days of a free trial. After that, you pay a flat fee of $11 per month.
Summary
These delivery and pick-up apps can help you offer more value to your consumers. Not only will you save money, but you will be able to offer options to people who are just within your locality.
While some of these apps are free, you may want to get the paid ones, provided that they have the functionality that you are looking for. At best, you should try apps that have free trials. Test them and if you like how they work, subscribe to the paid version.
