In the dashboard, you have to pay for the order, plus the shipping, and then the supplier would ship the product to your customer.

Modalyst Plans

Modalyst comes in three plans called Hobby, Start-up, and Pro.

In the Pro plan, you can save on cost if you pay $804 per year. This annual plan reduces the monthly cost to $67 from $90 per month.

There is also a transaction fee of 5%, but you can now upload unlimited products to your store. At this plan, you have all the benefits of the other two plans, and you also have access to branded items.

Dropified Plans

Dropified has four plans. The company does not offer a free one, but it does have a 14-day free trial.

The plans are:

  • Builder – $7 per month
  • Premier – $127 per month
  • Builder Annual – $39 per month billed for one year
  • Premier Annual – $97 per month billed for one year

Upon closer look, the features of the Builder plan are the same as the Builder Annual. The same goes for the Premier plan. The only difference for each type of plan is the price. You will save a lot of money if you pay the annual fee instead of the monthly fee.

With the Builder plan, you can import up to 15,000 products to your store. You can process an unlimited number of orders, and add up to five users. These users are your employees or virtual assistants who can process orders and upload products on your behalf.

The automation for this plan is advanced, and both can be applied to AliExpress and eBay. You will also have access to the Dynamic Facebook Feed function.

On the Premier Plan, you can upload up to 50,000 products to your store, and also add up to 25 users. This is best for dropshippers who have a large enterprise—those who are now receiving hundreds of orders per day.

On top of what you get from the Builder plan, the Premiere plan gives you access to lots of powerful features that you would have otherwise paid for $150.

Modalyst vs Dropified: Web Builders

Modalyst can integrate with Shopify, BigCommerce, and Wix. What this means is that you are not limited to opening a store in Shopify only.

If you are a medium-sized business or a large enterprise, chances are you want to be on the Big Commerce platform. If you are just starting out small and you do not want Shopify, then Wix is a great alternative.

Dropified is made for businesses that are expecting to earn, or for businesses that have the cash to spare or risk even if they are just starting out.

Modalyst is for people who are just about to try dropshipping for the first time and do not have a lot of cash to put up in opening their store.


Choose Dropified if you have the capital to put up a dropshipping store. If you use Dropified, you will be paying a monthly subscription on top of your website costs, even if you are not making a sale.

If you are just starting out, and you have no huge capital, use Modalyst because it has a free plan. You can make do with the 25 products, and then simply reinvest your earnings later to get to a higher plan.

Overall, Dropified is packed with more features than Modalyst, but Dropified is costly.

Modalyst is great for beginners who are not sure if their stores would succeed, but Dropified is great for those who already have experience with dropshipping—those who now know what they are doing.
