With dropshipping, your success relies on the quality of the products you sell, and the timeliness of your shipment. If these two things are met, you can expect to make huge sales and experience success in the world of online business.

The problem is that many dropshippers do not realize this. Too many of them, they would much rather focus on cheap products that come from China. Apart from the products being of low quality, the shipping takes an eternity. And this is why they fail.

The solution to this is to use a company called Spocket.

In this Spocket review let's take a look at the services it offers, what it costs to use the services, and how it can help you boost your online sales and meet the two requirements mentioned earlier.

What Is Spocket?

Spocket is an app that you can integrate with your Shopify or WoomCommerce store. It is a company that works with hundreds of suppliers worldwide, and you can choose a particular supplier for a particular product, for a particular region in the world.

Today, many dropshippers only use AiExpress, where all the products mainly come from China. The good thing about AliExpress is that it has so many listed sellers, and the products are really affordable.

The bad thing is that for most products, the quality is poor and the shipping takes weeks or months, even if you are shipping to customers from Asia.

With Spocket, you can choose the location of your suppliers. You can choose manufacturers who are physically in the United States, European Union Countries, United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia.

So, what difference does this make?

If you choose a supplier from the United States, and then you sell that product to the United States, the shipment of the product will take less than a week. Also, the shipping cost will be far lower than what it would take to ship a product from China to the US.

Spocket also guarantees that the products listed here are of high quality. You can even get a sample if you want.

Who Should Use Spocket?

Spocket is for people who are serious in growing their dropshipping business. It is not for those who want everything for free. You see, free stuff can help you start a business, but it will not allow you to create a serious business because you are not invested in it.

Free things also come at the cost of poor quality. With Spocket, you can expect to sell high-quality products, and this will help boost your online reputation as a company that only sells great merchandise.

Low-quality products are like eye-candy. They are good on the first buy, but you cannot expect your customers to buy for the second time.

Spocket is for people who do also do not want to spend a lot of time searching for products online. Spocket is a company that does the sourcing of suppliers. They check the quality of the products, and they also ensure that the supplier Hs the ability to meet the demands of your customers.

Spocket Features

Spocket has a long list of features and benefits that will make dropshipping easy for anyone who wants to join the e-commerce business.

Multiple Suppliers from Different Regions

Although Spocket started out with only two countries where the supplies come from, it has not branched globally.

Today, Spocket has suppliers from Germany, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

With many suppliers from different countries to choose from, you are not limited to offering your products to one country if you are worried at the length of time it takes to ship them.

If you want to sell jeans in the US, find a US supplier in Spocket, and then sell that product in the US so the shipping will take faster.

This is easy to do in the dashboard since you can filter the products by country as shown below. You can also choose products based on “Ships From” and “Ships To”.

So, if you want to sell products only from suppliers from the UK that ship to the UK, then you just need to select these in the drop-down and apply the filter.

The shipping locations are also not limited by these countries. You can choose a manufacturer that ships from the UK, yet choose only the suppliers that will also ship to, say, Albania.

With this kind of filtering system, it will be easy for you to focus your efforts from one region to another.

Multiple Product Categories

Although the product categories are not as massive as that on AliExpress, the main focus of this site is quality, not quantity.

Here, you can find so many products in different niches such as:

  • Automotive
  • Bags
  • Wallet
  • Footwear
  • Gift items
  • Pets
  • Toys
  • Sports
  • Technology

Dashboard and Order Management

With Spocket, you will have a dashboard that will give you a good view of the products you have selected, including products that were ordered.

The Spocket dashboard also gives you easy management tools to fulfil an order. Once a customer orders from your store, the Spocket dashboard allows you to see the status of that order.

Just click on the My Orders tab at the left-hand panel of your dashboard, and you will see a list of the different orders and their status.

You can click on View Customer Info to see more about your customer’s order details like order information, cost of the product that you have to pay for the supplier, the cost of the shipping, and taxes. You need to click on Checkout to view all these, and you will see the total cost of what you need to pay the supplier.

The difference between what your customer paid and the total cost is your profit. The order management dashboard also gives you the opportunity to put a note for the supplier to read. The customer who made the purchase can also leave a note and this note will also be forwarded to the supplier.

Easy to Use Import List

The app has an import list that allows you to edit the product information before it is pushed to your online store.

For example, you may not like the product name of “coffee mug”. If you want to change this into “white funny quote coffee mug”, you can do so.

This feature is important because it works best with search engine optimization practices. If you know that customers are specifically looking for a white mug, then you want to use the words “white” and “mug” in your product title so search engines will show your product page on the search results.

In here, you can also add tags, choose a product type, and then choose to which collection the product will belong to.

Once it is pushed to your store, the product will only show in the specific collection you selected, making your online store neat and organized.

You can also change the description of the product from here, so you do not have to do it manually in Shopify or WooCommerce. The description tool is useful because it allows you to change the font sizes, font styles, and font colors of your text.

You can also choose the variants you want to sell. By default, the variants will come from the manufacturer’s list, but you can remove other variants if you want. For example, the coffee mug has a white handle, and another variant has a black handle.

You can choose to sell just the one with the white handle, the black handle, or both. You can also change the price of each product and variant, depending on your desired selling price.

By default, the selling price is based on the suggested retail prices of Spocket, but you are free to change them.

You can also add images to the product, and you can either use the manufacturer’s photos or your own, provided that you ordered the product and took your own pictures.

If you do not want to order a sample, you can use photo editing software to change the photos from the manufacturer to give your store a uniform look and product background.

Great Help Sections

You do not have to be an expert to be to use Spocket. It has lots of video tutorials that can guide you on no to use the app, such as the following topics:

  • How to discover products
  • How to customize the products
  • How to process orders

There is also a community of Spocket users where you can ask your question and wait for someone to provide an answer based on his experience.

Price Control

In Spocket, you can control the prices of all your products. You do not have to change each one manually. This is convenient, especially if you are selling hundreds of products.

This feature is called Global Pricing Rules. To get to this page, you need to go to Settings > Global Pricing Rules.

Here, you can choose how much you want to add to the cost of the product. You can choose a percentage, multiplier, or fixed price.

You can only choose one.

If you choose percentage, you will need to input the percentage of the mark-up that will be applied to the product cost. Let us say you chose 100%.

If the cost of the product is $10 from the Spocket supplier, your store will automatically sell it for $20 because 100% of $10 is $10.

If you chose fixed, you need to type the fixed value. If you put $20, all the products will be sold $20 more than the original price.

For multiplier, the number you choose will be used to multiply against the product cost. If you put 3 as a multiplier, and the product cost is $10, then the product will be sold in your store for $30 because $10 X 3 = $30.

Before you set the price rules, you must consider the cost of the shipping, your marketing expenses, your Shopify or WooCommerce costs, taxes, and other things.

If the overall cost of all these expenses turns out to be about $10 per product, you cannot use $10 as a mark-up because you will just break even. You need to price it higher.

How Do I Use Spocket?

The first thing you need to do is to sign up for an account and choose a plan. The prices will be discussed in a little bit.

Here are the steps you need to do to get Spocket running with your Shopify or WooCommerce store after signing up for an account.

Step 1: Integrate your store

Before you join Spocket, it is important that you already have a Shopify or WooCommerce account. From your Spocket dashboard, click on My Shop at the bottom left.

Next, click on either Shopify or WooCommerce. Then, you will be asked to type your store URL.

Step 2: Search for Products

The second step is to look for products. You can do this by clicking on the Search Products link on the upper left side of the control panel. From there, you can search for items that you want to sell.

Do not forget to use the filters found on top to make your browsing easier and faster. Ideally, you should already have a product in mind, so you do not get overwhelmed with the number of choices in the Spocket product inventory.

If there is a product you like, just click it, and then click on Add to Import List button.

Step 3: Set the Global pricing rules

This has been discussed earlier. So just go back to that section and decide how much mark-up you want for each product that you have selected.

To determine the cost of the shipping, you need to take a look at that from the product page before you import it to your store. This is how you can find out how much mark-up is needed to make a profit.

One thing that Spocket can improve on is to add a dashboard that has a column showing your products for import, and the cost of each item, and the cost of shipping for each item.

This kind of view does not exist right now, so you have to manually copy and paste this information on Excel, and then you can calculate the average cost of shipping for your selected products.

Step 4: Edit the Products

To do this, go to your Import List. Click the Import List link from the control panel on the left. Here, you will see a list of all the products that you selected.

Click on each one, and then edit them until you are satisfied. It makes sense that you create a standard template for your product description, so all your products look uniform as customers click them.

Make sure the grammar is correct and that the details match your photos.

Step 4: Push the products to your store

The last step is to make these products go live. In each product, you need to click on Push to Store button. There is no way to select all the products at the same time.

What you can do is to push products per page. If your Import List has ten products on that page, you can click the green Push Current Page tab on top. If you click this, all the products on that page will go live on your online store.
